Visiones Sonoras 2006 will take place on September 20 to 23, 2006 in Mexico City. The festival features concerts, workshops and conferences. Amongst the guest composers Hans Tutschku and Javier Álvarez will be presenting master classes and concerts.

June 23 – 25, 2006: Dhomont, Harrison… Invited to Sardinia
Ludger Brümmer, Kevin Austin, Flô Menezes, Francis Dhomont, Lucio Garau, and Jonty Harrison are the guest composers at the 3rd Festival di musica acusmatica, June 23 to 25, 2006 in Cagliari (Sardinia). On June 24, Dhomont will spatialize works by several Québec composers: Noyade en magma by Dominique Bassal, 13’13 pour voix défigurées by Monique Jean and Time Well / La fontaine du temps by Christian Calon, and a work by Brümmer. Voyage-miroir by Dhomont will be presented by another guest composer, Garau. Finally, several other composers from empreintes DIGITALes will also be featured: Gobeil, Moore, Álvarez, Smalley, Tutschku, Fort, Stollery, and Lillios!

Ina-GRM (Groupe de recherches musicales) has just released 4 new titles: Cactus géométries; Offrande by Javier Álvarez, Thrène by André Boucourechliev, Éloge de la bêtise ou Les péripéties des Ubu by Jacques Lejeune, and L’œil écoute by Bernard Parmegiani. Moreover, the Archives GRM boxset presents a wonderful panorama of musique concrète in 5 CDs featuring the music of over 40 composers.

January 11 – 12, 2002: Transparent Tape Music Festival, Berkeley
The Transparent Tape Music Festival will be held in Berkeley (USA) on January 11 and 12, 2002. In conjunction with the Transparent Theater and the ACME Observatory, The New San Francisco Tape Music Center will present a total of 17 works, diffused on a 16-loudspeaker system designed for this event. Compositions by Javier Álvarez, Yves Daoust, John Oswald, Hildegard Westerkamp, and Denis Smalley — released by empreintes DIGITALes — are amongst the programmed works.
