Maxime Barthélemy

Concerned with artistic freedom, Maxime Barthélemy pays particular attention to his production as a composer — active in the field of contemporary music, more broadly the field of ’sound’, and the possible relationships with other means of expression. Observer of the sensitive since a silent childhood, he developed his listen-how under Martín Matalon, Denis Dufour, and Salvatore Sciarrino. His works express a claimed radical poetry, the reasonably useless barely touched. Involved beyond this posture, he teaches electroacoustic composition at the Cité de la musique de Marseille, performs within the 20° dans le noir ensemble and collaborates in a privileged manner with music publisher Maison ONA (Paris, France).
