Dominique Bassal is touring the UK October 29 - November 5, 2010 for a series of concerts featuring his work and compositions (by Roxanne Turcotte, and Ned Bouhalassa) he has mastered for the empreintes DIGITALes label, and to give conferences on mastering electroacoustics. Dominique Bassal will be visiting Manchester — MANTIS concert & conference, October 29 and 30 — passing by Huddersfield — conference & workshops, November 1 —, Keele — lecture & concert, November 2 —, Birmingham — MiniBEAST solo listening session & lecture, November 3 —, and Bangor — two works within the Robert Normandeau’s portrait concert, November 4.
June 26 – September 26, 2010: Marcelle Deschênes, Ned Bouhalassa, Natasha Barrett… at Sound Travels, Toronto
The 12th Sound Travels festival started on June 26, 2010 in Toronto and will last until September 26. The concert Expansive Spirits on August 7 will present works by Marcelle Deschênes, D Andrew Stewart, and David Eagle. On August 8 the concert About HOME includes pieces by Manuella Blackburn, Natasha Barrett, David Hindmarch, and Ned Bouhalassa.

Tremblay and Bouhalassa Nominated for Opus Prizes
Composers Pierre Alexandre Tremblay and Ned Bouhalassa are both nominated for the Opus Prize in the category “Concert of the Year — actuelle and electroacoustic music,” for their concert held in the Akousma (2) series produced by Réseaux in December 2005. The 10th Opus Prize Gala will take place on January 28, 2006 at the Salle Claude-Champagne, Université de Montréal.

For the “Monde parallèle Montréal 45°N//” event, organized by Lille — Cultural Capital of Europe, label empreintes DIGITALes presented a portrait of Montréal’s electroacoustic creation since 1971 through 24 works by 21 Montréal composers: Serge Arcuri, Yves Beaupré, Christian Bouchard, Ned Bouhalassa, Christian Calon, Micheline Coulombe Saint-Marcoux, Yves Daoust, Francis Dhomont, Paul Dolden, Louis Dufort, Gilles Gobeil, Monique Jean, René Lussier, Robert Normandeau, Arturo Parra, Mario Rodrigue, Stéphane Roy, Alain Thibault, Jacques Tremblay, Marc Tremblay, Roxanne Turcotte. Electroacoustic label empreintes DIGITALes, new media and electronic art festivals Elektra and Mutek with the collaboration of the Society for arts and technology (SAT) all teamed up to present the best of Montréal’s electronic music and video.
