Alex Buck
A composition, improvisation and musical analysis professor at the São Paulo EMESP Tom Jobim, Alex Buck (1980) received a master’s in electroacoustic composition from UNESP. Buck began his career in improvisation with collaborations ranging from Brasilian music to contemporary jazz and free improvisation. When he subsequently studied formal composition at the university, he discovered a new field of expression: acousmatic composition.
