Martine H Crispo
Martine H Crispo is an artist in audio and new media arts, as well as a sound designer for the performing arts. She lives and works in Montréal. Her work focuses on performance, radiophonic creation, and sound installation. She works with frequency generators, which she builds herself (DIY), and with electronic circuits, which she “unbuilds” inside old educational children’s toys (circuit bending). She is also interested in the sound material produced by small objects set in motion with electromagnets. For the past several years, her research has focused on the relationship between sound and light, using devices based on optical sound and graphic sound. She has presented her individual work in Canada, USA, and Europe. More
