Elektra, a televison magazine on experimental music — dedicates his July-August 2099 programme to composer Francis Dhomont and his videomusics Moirures and Sisyphe (with Inés Wickmann). The first broadcast will be on July 2, 2009 on the TNA network in France. Visit the Elektramusic website for the re-broadcast schedule (planned until August 26) and for a preview of the programme.

Francis Dhomont will participate to the 6th Festival di interpretazione della musica acusmatica 2009 that will take place in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) on July 9 - 12, 2009. Dhomont will have a “Carte blanche” and will present, amongst others, Lamento (chœur des femmes I) and Combattimento (chœur des femmes II) by Annette Vande Gorne, and extrémités lointaines by Hans Tutschku. Dhomont’s work Premières traces du Choucas will also be presented during the festival.

Élektrophonie (France) will present the 8th “Nuit bleue” on July 11, 2009 at Saline Royale in Arc-et-Senans (France). Many works are programmed during the “Nuit acousmatique” concert: Cyclo by David Berezan, Premières traces du Choucas by Francis Dhomont, Champs de fouilles (Excavations) by Martin Bédard, Voix de l’aurore by Ingrid Drese, L’escalier des aveugles by Luc Ferrari, Dancing on the Edge of Silence by Monique Jean and many others. A portrait of Patrick Ascione will also be presented on the same night during the “Cinéma pour l’oreille" concert.

This event also includes a symposium with guest speaker Marc Battier.
