An ambassador of French song, Irène Jarsky has performed Debussy, Ravel, Satie and Poulenc in Italy, Greece, Germany, England, and Indonesia. She sings Berg, Webern and Schönberg. She accepts such daring challenges as performing Erwartung and Pierrot lunaire in the same evening. Her career has already brought her into contact with at least a hundred living composers whose works she has taken to international stages. She has confronted the world of electronics (Ircam, Bell Telephone Labs (NJ, USA), GMEM, GMEB). She is preoccupied with the direction of musical theatre and collaborates with individuals of the theatre such as Henri Ronse, Carlos Wittig, and Michel Lonsdale… She is active in the transmission of knowledge through her pedagogical activities: CNRS, Université de Paris VII, Royal Conservatory of Liège (Belgium), Conservatoire national supérieur de musique (CNSM), CNR of Bordeaux, AFDAS, co-founder of the Experimental Conservatory of Pantin. She is currently an Inspector for the Music Sector of the Minister of Culture and French-speaking Communities.
