Stefan Schneider has been playing drums and percussion since the age of 12. He lives in Montréal, where he moved in 1996 to study Jazz performance at McGill University (graduated in 2001, BA). Since then, Schneider has been involved with various live and studio projects. He has performed with Bell Orchestre, The Luyas, [iks], Sage Raynolds, and Rodéoscopique, accompanied jazz singer Ranee Lee and cellist Joranne on stage, and recorded with Amon Tobin (for the album Foley Room). Stefan Schneider likes to travel, especially when on tour. He has recently been a substitute drummer for various groups, like Land of Talk (featuring Lizzie Powell) and The Sway Machinery on their North-American tour. He also practices yoga and vegetarian gourmet cuisine.
