The Montréal and Vancouver impov scenes meet in The Unexpected, a surprising double duo. Consisting of two percussionists and two guitarists, this unusual group is solely devoted to entirely improvised living music. A remarkable level of interaction and a subtle form of virtuosity dominate their work. Often quiet, but occasionally quite intense, the music is oddly flexible and truly innovative.
