Bernat Vivancos
Bernat Vivancos began his music studies with his father, an organist, and then continued with the famed Maltrise of Montserrat, where he studied piano, violin and organ with Father Ireneu Segarra. Singing, indispensable for all good musicians, has been of great importance in his career. Returning to Barcelona, Vivancos studied piano with Maria Canals and Raquel Millàs at the Ars Nova Music School, graduating with a first degree from the Conservatory of Barcelona. He has given numerous concerts and has been awarded a number of international awards in Barcelona, Salerno and Athens, and has performed for radio and television broadcasting. At the same time he continued studying violin with Eva Graubin and performing with various orchestras. In 1997 he was nominated Chapel Master of the Manresa Cathedral and head organist of the Notre Dame of the Angels sanctuary in Barcelona. Always interested in writing music, Vivancos studied composition with David Padrós. More
