The 2009 Futura festival will take place on August, 20 — 23, 2009 in Crest, France. On the programme, works by Otomo Yoshihide, Luc Ferrari, Denis Dufour, Francis Dhomont (Corps et âme), Michel Chion, Michèle Bokanowski, Chantal Dumas, Ivo Malec, Bernard Parmegiani, Christian Zanési, Christian Calon and many others.
The Festival de Radio France et Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon (France) will take place from July 13 to 31, 2009. Coming up:
- July 27: diffusion of Pentes by Denis Smalley;
- July 28: diffusion of Sémaphores by Christian Zanési;
- July 30: diffusion of Pierre Schaeffer’s works Étude pathétique [Étude aux casseroles] and Bilude as well as the premiere of Le travail du rêve by Francis Dhomont.
On May 14, 2009, François Bayle, Luis Naón, Sebastian Rivas, Christian Zanési, and Ensemble Diagonal will present a concert with acousmatics and mixed music as part of the Extension festival in Paris (France).
There will be an acousmatic concert with works by Francis Dhomont, Christian Zanési, Jacques Lejeune, Beatriz Ferreyra, Philippe Mion and Guy Reibel on April 21, 2009 at Le Fil in Saint-Étienne (France).
The 5th Qwartz Electronic Music Awards took place on April 3, 2009 at Cirque d’hiver Bouglione in Paris (France). Lionel Marchetti has been awarded the Artist Qwartz and won in the experimental category with his work Adèle et Hadrien (le livre des vacances). In the artwork and packaging category, the winner is Skoltz_Kolgen’s video Silent Room. Christian Zanési has been awarded the Special Qwartz.
Young composers from Conservatoire de Mons (Belgium) will present a concert on April 2, 2009 at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) where they will perform works by, amongst others, Steve Reich, Christian Zanési, Richard Devine, and Denis Dufour.
