electrocd

Review

Paul Lemos, Under the Volcano, September 1, 1999

Ned Bouhalassa’s Aérosol, while not nearly as overwhelming as Copeland’s CD, is an enjoyable, dynamic work that occasionally integrates more conventional musical elements within its electroacoustic maelstrom. Pieces move from the chaotic sonic pastiche of Jets to the cooler grooves of Constamment (autoportrait). Aérosol reveals a somewhat lighter, more playful approach to electro acoustic music, inspired by the power and energy of pop culture.
