Conceiving sound as independent cells, various concrète materials are used as a source to develop small, processed units that allow different combinations. The ‘pieces’ revolve around a central concern with pulse that somehow hints to the realm of the industrial and enables the desired exchangeability. Other pieces explore more abstract sound realms inspired in literary sources and are concerned with the illustration of the far-east atmospheres depicted in the fiction. The overall approach to spatialization, rhythmic structure and general outlook indirectly points to a minimalist ascendancy subtly dyeing the overall aesthetic.
