Stephan Dunkelman presents electroacoustic “acousmatic” compositions not only intended for concerts, but for art exhibitions, fashion shows and dance. As such the swaths of sound and textures imply solid shape moving through space. The sonic constructions on Rhizomes show us a tactile side giving distinct impressions to the ear as how they would feel under hand. There is a distinct visual, motive element to the music that assures this lives not only in the concert hall but walks, dances and poses with us. (4/5)
