This Canadian trio vaguely resemble Suicide in their insistent mesmerizing rhythms and almost retro simplicity. But The Unireverse goes further back into kitsch and the past by appropriating disco in a prog rock sort of wink-wink manner. Think psychedelic meets retro-isturmentation meets disco meets avant twists as they cover Donna Summer, The Beatles and Red Krayola. Even their own numbers hint at songs never written by groups from long ago. Recommended but play with caution.
