Gilles Gobeil has won the Premier prix and Prix du public in the second International Electroacoustic Music Competition of São Paulo, Brazil, for his work Nuit cendre. The work has also been chosen by an international jury for participation in World Music Days 1998, scheduled for next April in Manchester, UK.
