Montreal is a major center for electroacoustic music, a highly experimental form of contemporary composition that incorporates a huge range of sounds: from computer generated music to environmental or “found” sounds. Composer Robert Nomandeau finishes his Doctorate in electroacoustics in a reprise of his multimedia concert Tangram. The piece was composed for an orchestra of 16 loudspeakers, and is performed with & without the visual effect of 70 projectors showing slides synchronized with the music. The show takes place at the Dow Ptanetarium June 3, 10 & 17 at 20h
