Un son peut en cacher un autre in Modisti

“Review”, Modisti, May 17, 2007

Deeply concerned with the material dimension of sound and the relationship between sound phenomenon and message, the works explore the abstract dimension of the sound in itself, occasionally changing the focus to its communicative dimension. Careful attention is paid to spatialization, as the author’s concern with sound masses is clearly manifested through his use of volumes, surfaces and textures in a manner both simple and sophisticated. Not surprisingly, a certain impressionistic quality can be traced in this composer’s sculptural approach, clearly indicating the ascendancy of visual art concerns and the importance attributed to and the associative connotations of the sonic.
