On April 24, 2008, a 50-year journey proposed by José Manuel Berenguer & Carmen Pardo will be presented as part of the Ars Musica’s Night of the Electroacoustic Music. The event will take place at Kaaitheater in Brussels (Belgium). The concert is in three part, each of them is dedicated to a generation of composers. On programme, works by: Schaeffer, Varèse, Eimert, Stockhausen, Xenakis, Ferrari, Risset, Dhomont, Ferreyra, Mandolini, Vande Gorne, Polonio, Truax, Vaggione, and Kupper.

The Projet pupitre performance by Martin Messier and Jacques Poulin-Denis preceded by Martin Tétreault’s — 4 artistes pour 2 disc-jockeys starring David Lafrance and D Julied mixing works by Diane Morin, Robert Racine, Jean-Pierre Gauthier, and Manon Labrecque… — will be presented at the Auditorium of Grande Bibliothèque (Montréal) as part of the “10 ans d’arts médiatiques en 3 prises” by the CQAM on April 19, 2008 from 8 pm. John Young’s new work Smoke and Mirrors (2008) will be premiered on April 12, 2008 during the GRM’s Multiphonies concert series at Salle Olivier Messiaen in Paris (France).

Chants libres will present L’Archange from April 9 to 12, 2008 at Espace Dell’Arte in Montréal. The creators of this multimedia work first premiered in 2005 are: Pauline Vaillancourt, design and direction; Louis Dufort, music; Alexis Nouss, libretto; and Alain Pelletier, video installation.

Robin Minard, ex-member of Sonde, is back in Montréal after 20 years of absence! He will present Sons sur papier, a retrospective of several sound installations, at Oboro from April 12 to May 10, 2008. He will also diffuse 3 acousmatic works as part of the Pulsar *3 series on April 14, 2008 at the Planétarium de Montréal. The opening feature of this concert is Nicolas Bernier’s premiere of Les chambres de l’atelier.
