This album features three pieces I composed using mostly sound materials produced by the improvisation device I call MissTake, and a recent work.

The MissTake consists of a no-input four-track tape recorder plugged into an intermodulation system that involves effects pedals and a piece of multitrack spatialization software.

I chose this lo-fi analogue instrument because of its erratic, unstable behaviour and its constant output of raw, untamed sounds that allow me to explore concepts of hybridity and heterogeneity. The MissTake device produces a lattice of vibrations that are sympathetic on multiple levels: with the location, space, the body, and the vivid and unpredictable sound materials of the no-input setup. The output is at times complex, at times stripped down, and often unpredictable.
