Books on Tape will be touring Canada in support of his latest release on Alien8 Recordings, Dinosaur Dinosaur. Books on Tape will play in Toronto (ON) on March 5, in Charlottetown (PEI) on March 8, in Halifax (NE) on March 9, in Fredricton (NB) on March 10, in Montréal (QC) on March 11, in Toronto (ON) on March 12, in Kingston (ON) on March 13, in Peterborough (ON) on March 14, in Ottawa (ON) on March 15, in London (ON) on March 16, in Brantford (ON) on March 17, and lastly in Hamilton (ON) on March 18, 2006.

Hildegard Westerkamp will give a “carte blanche” concert at the Studio 27 of the Fine Arts Building of the University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB) on March 6, 2006. The concert will feature her works Breaking News, Into the Labyrinth, and Für Dich—For You in addition to other works by Erdem Helvacioglu, Judy Klein, Eliot Britton, and Andrew Czink

Voyages sonores is a weekend of acousmatic events organized by BEAST and held on March 17 to 19, 2006 at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Centre (Birmingham, UK). The event features guest composers Françoise Barrière and Christian Clozier from IMEB (France), and Robert Normandeau. The Utility of Space by Natasha Barrett, Tangram by Robert Normandeau, and Sorties by Jonty Harrison are amongst the 28 works presented.

For Cultural Exchanges 2006, De Monfort University (Leicester, UK) will present a concert of electroacoustic works by John Young, Christian Calon, Thomas Gardner, and Rick Nance on March 2, 2006 at Trinity House Chapel.

20 000 sons sous les mers [20,000 Sounds Under the Sea] is a Harbour Symphony by Diane Labrosse for 6 boats, one train, moving drums and other instruments. The work will be presented on February 26 and March 5, 2006 near Pointe-à-Callière (Montréal).

A concert-homage to composer Micheline Coulombe Saint-Marcoux will be held on February 16, 2006 at Le petit Medley (Montréal). Five women musicians, amongst them Louise Bessette and Lise Daoust, will present works by Coulombe Saint-Marcoux as well as Québec women composers Nicole Carignan, Sylvie-Anne Ménard, Lorraine Desmarais, Isabelle Panneton, Marie Pelletier, and Rhené Jaque.
