As you may know the piece Novars by Francis Dhomont will be presented as part of the MANTIS festival during the concert launch of the University of Manchester’s Studio Novars (UK). But that’s not all! This event also features the works of Martin Bédard, Nicolas Bernier, Ludger Brümmer, Marcelle Deschênes, Gilles Gobeil, Denis Smalley, Hans Tutschku, Hildegard Westerkamp, Trevor Wishart, and David Berezan and Jonty Harrison who will each world premiere a new piece… In short, this event is not to be missed and it takes place from November 2 to 4, 2007.

After its presentation last August during Sonoimágenes 2007 festival in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Topographie de la noirceur by Martin Bédard has been selected for the next Electronic Music Midwest 2007 in Kansas City (USA). This event will take place from October 11 to 13, 2007.

Martin Bédard’s Check-point has been selected at the Soundworks competition, which theme is “Borders Sounds-Sounds from the Borders.” It is organized by RadioPapesse (Italy) il collaboration with the Fabbrica Europa 2007 festival.

Not only Martin Bédard will be part of the composers invited at the next Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival FEMF… Mathew Adkins will also present Cortex on April 12, 2007. He will present this musical piece again on April 28 at the Boston Cyberarts Festival.

Acousmatic pieces by Martin Bédard, Robert Normandeau, Mathew Adkins, Laurie Radford, Pete Stollery, plus a videomusic by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay will be presented during the MANTIS South-North Weekend Festival from March 9 to 11, 2007 in Manchester (UK). A total of 21 acousmatic compositions and 6 audiovisual works have been selected amongst the 186 proposals from composers from 32 countries.

Topographie de la noirceur by Martin Bédard was selected for the 16th Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival (FEMF) to be held on April 12 — 14, 2007 at the University of Florida in Gainesville (USA). The piece then crosses the Atlantic to be presented on May 24 during the 4th and last event of the 9th Cycle de concerts de musique par ordinateur 2006-07 at Université Paris VIII (France).
