Anne-F Jacques is a scrap metal worker and sound artist based in Montréal. She is interested in amplification, oblique interactions between materials and construction of various contraptions and idiosyncratic systems. Her particular focus is on low technology, trivial objects and unpolished sounds. She regularly realizes installations, performances and ephemeral interventions. He work has been featured at Festival Tsonami (Chile), Experimental Intermedia (New York), L’Écart (Rouyn-Noranda), Ftarri (Tokyo), CTM (Berlin), Casa del Lago (Mexico), Centrale for contemporary arts (Brussels), Centre Clarke (Montréal), Sonandes (La Paz), Sonic Protest (Paris), High Zero (Baltimore) and MEM (Bilbao), amongst others.
