His musical training began at the Conservatoire in Las Palmas (Canary Islands). He was interested in the expressive and creative possibilities that science and technology offer to art. In 1995, he specialized in electoacoustic composition under the direction of the composer Horacio Vaggione (at the Université Paris 8), and in instrumental composition and musicology with José Manuel López López and Antoine Bonnet.

From an aesthetic point of view, sound and rhythm, as well as any sort of microscopic mixture between their different parameters and attributes, justifies his work, where “timbre” becomes not only a reference point and a determinant of the sound quality, but also a constant formal suggestion, a quest for very specific and very precise sound textures and morphologies.

He was a member of the computer department of the Université Paris 8, as well as a collaborator with the University Institute for Science and Cybernetic Technologies at the University of Las Palmas in Grand Canary (IUCTC). He was a member of the training and archives department of the Institut International de Musique Electroacoustique (IMEB — International Institute for Electroacoustic Music) in Bourges, France.

He obtained the prize “Città di Udine, 2000” for electroacoustic composition, (Italy 2000); third prize for composition in the “SGAE/CDMC Competition” for young composers (Spain 2000); he obtained a Special Mention from the jury of the “Competition of electroacoustic music SGAE” (Spain 2001).
