Arturo Parra will present in concert the entire Parr(A)cousmatique during the 9th Festival Internacional de Música Contemporánea de Bogotá (Colombia). This concert will take place on October 19, 2007 in Universidad Nacional de Colombia’s León de Greiff hall. Arturo Parra will also give a seminar about sound exploration and multidisciplinary creation on October 17 at Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá.

La basilique fantôme by Arturo Parra and Stéphane Roy has been selected by the 7th Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica, Ai-maako 2007 in Santiago (Chile), and will be presented on October 17, 2007. Also note the presence of Åke Parmerud who will present a portrait concert, Francis Dhomont, Beatriz Ferreyra, Elsa Justel, João Pedro Oliveira, Hans Tutschku, and Trevor Wishart Amongst many others…

Arturo Parra will be one of FAMEQ’s guest of honor during their 40th congress. This event will take place in Drummondville from November 15 to 17, 2007. He will give a lecture entitled “Musique et musiciens, auteurs et acteurs de l’art interdisciplinaire,” a guitar master class, and a sound perception workshop.

Arturo Parra will present Voz for guitar and vocal expressions on February 15, 2007 at Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges in Montréal. This piece will be released on disc by Atma Classique later on this spring.

Arturo Parra will perform in Vienna (Austria) at the Neue Musik in St Ruprecht series on October 8, 2006. The composer / guitarist will dedicate his concert exclusively to his latest compositions for guitar and vocal expressions. Parra will also be premiering his work Vers la lumière (L’hirondelle). Also, Parra will play with Austrian composer and pianist Katharina Klement at the festival Vals sureño — Lateinamerika in Wien. A meeting of two cultures during three nights of improvised music with musicians from Austria and Latin America. The festival will be held from October 12 to 14, 2006 at the Echoraum contemporary art gallery (Vienna, Austria).

Arturo Parra will present his latest compositions for guitar and vocal expressions in the concert Sentiers de la lune et de la nuit on September 2, 2006 at Salle Alec et Gérard Pelletier in Sutton (Québec).
