The DVD-Video + CD-Audio launch of Jean-Pierre Gauthier’s Porté disparu dans une quincaillerie will take place on March 21, 2007 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. Porté disparu dans une quincaillerie brings together a DVD-Video, CD-Audio and a 32-page booklet of the work of Jean-Pierre Gauthier, a Montréal-based artist well-known for his kinetic and sound installations. The DVD-Video presents 23 installations realized since 1997, while the CD-Audio is made of works brought into existence during his research for his installations. A retrospective of Jean-Pierre Gauthier’s work is shown at the same museum until April 22.
