Theresa Transistor, a quartet of improvised electroacoustics, will play live at La Sala Rossa (Montréal) on January 24, 2006. Winner of the Opus Prize for “Concert of the Year — actuelle and electroacoustic musics,” Theresa Transistor features Christian Bouchard, Christian Calon, Monique Jean, and Mario Gauthier.
Harvard University Studio for Electroacoustic Composition (HUSEAC) is bringing the multi-dimensional sonic monster “Hydra” to the Harvard Dance Studio in Cambridge (USA), to be held on January 13 and 14, 2006. The two Interaction events will feature sound-sculpture installations, live-electronic performances, and choreographies. The works will be spatialized on a unique 30-speaker surround environment. Music by HUSEAC’s director Hans Tutschku will be amongst the works presented.
The first Akousma concert of the GRM’s 27th season will be held at 5 pm on Sunday January 8, 2006 at the Salle Olivier Messiaen of the Maison de Radio France (Paris). The concert will feature works by Patrick Ascione, Christian Zanési, Jean-Marc Duchenne, and Beatriz Ferreyra.
On January 19, 2006, at the Petit Théâtre Mercelis in Brussels (Belgium), Musiques & Recherches will present a concert-homage to composer Luc Ferrari, deceased last August. The featured works will be spatialized by Annette Vande Gorne.
