Mathew Adkins will present Silent Red at the Barbican Theatre in Plymouth (UK) for the In The Flesh Festival, to be held from November 17 — 19, 2006. Mathew Adkins will also present Mapping at City University in London (UK) on December 15.

Gilles Gobeil will present a remixed multichannel version of Ombres, espaces, silences… as part of A Festival for Radio Plays on November 10, 2006 on the 40-loudspeaker dome of Kubus, at the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) in Karlsruhe (Germany).

The 2-day event trans_canada_release at the ZKM is a follow-up of the 2005 festival “trans_canada: Tendenzen in Akusmatik und Soundscapes / Trends in Acousmatics and Soundscapes.”

The evening of December 8, 2006 is dedicated to Gilles Gobeil. He will premiere Entre les deux rives du printemps and present Derrière la porte la plus éloignée…, Nuit cendre, and Le contrat (co-composed with René Lussier).

The December 9 concert is a carte blanche to Robert Normandeau who will will premiere Kuppel, spatialize his works Chorus and Venture, as well as Premières traces du Choucas by Francis Dhomont, Topographie de la noirceur by Martin Bédard, and Machin Machine by Delphine Measroch.

Mathew Adkins and Martin Bédard are amongst the composers featured in the Seoul International Computer Music Festival (SICMF), to be held on November 23 to 26, 2006. Adkins will present his work Silk to Steel on November 24, and Bédard will present Topographie de la noirceur on November 25.

This first weekend of Soundings… has 4 concerts on October 27 to 29, 2006 at the Reid Concert Hall in Edinburgh (UK). On October 28 Pete Stollery will premiere scènes, rendez-vous, composed at the GRM studios, and spatialize the works … et ainsi de suite… by Jonty Harrison, and Espace / Escape by Francis Dhomont. Natasha Barrett, Gilles Gobeil, Elsa Justel, Denis Smalley, and Annette Vande Gorne are amongst the twenty composers performed.

Réseaux presents Akousma (3), a series of 5 portrait-concerts of Elio Martusciello, saxophone quartet Quasar, Francis Dhomont (for and on his 80th birthday), Ludger Brümmer, and Christian Calon. Are also organized 4 master classes, conferences and sound diffusion workshops. On October 31 to November 4 2006 at the Monument-National in Montréal.
