Composer John Young is one of the international guests of Ai-maako 2006, the 6th Santiago International Festival of Electroacoustic Music (Chile). On October 18, 2006 Young will present a concert featuring his works Liquid Sky and Inner and a movement of Christian Calon’s recent work Atlas, along with works by Peter Batchelor, Ambrose Field and from Sonic Postcards composed by British school children as part of a project run by the Sonic Arts Network. On the following day he will also present a talk entitled Figures and Forms: Acousmatic thought in an interactive age.

Composer Pete Stollery will premiere scènes, rendez-vous during the Soundings… festival in Edinburgh (UK) on October 28, 2006. He will also premiere the mixed work for trumpet and tape, Planar at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Aberdeen (UK) on November 12.

A concert of acousmatic music at the Powis Hall of the University of Wales Bangor (UK) on October 26, 2006 will present, works by David Berezan, Natasha Barrett, John Young, and Andrew Lewis, amongst others.

Désordre, a new work for voice, electric guitar, and tape by Philippe Le Goff, will be premiered on October 8, 2006 during the “Musiques aux centres” concert fo the 29th acousmatic season Multiphonies presented by the Ina-GRM at Salle Olivier Messiaen of Maison de Radio France. The work will be perfromed by Sylvie Deguy and Louis Chretiennot.

Arturo Parra will perform in Vienna (Austria) at the Neue Musik in St Ruprecht series on October 8, 2006. The composer / guitarist will dedicate his concert exclusively to his latest compositions for guitar and vocal expressions. Parra will also be premiering his work Vers la lumière (L’hirondelle). Also, Parra will play with Austrian composer and pianist Katharina Klement at the festival Vals sureño — Lateinamerika in Wien. A meeting of two cultures during three nights of improvised music with musicians from Austria and Latin America. The festival will be held from October 12 to 14, 2006 at the Echoraum contemporary art gallery (Vienna, Austria).

Bernard Fort has written the soundtrack for Corps en boîtes, a choreography by Kilina Cremona that will be presented in Lyon (France) at the Amphithéâtre culturel on September 20 and 21, 2006, and at the Maison de la danse on September 28 to 30.
