  • August 23 – 30, 2007: Milliseconde topographie in Sherbrooke and Seoul

    Milliseconde topographie will present its videomusic Treelogy 3: Orchid at Galerie Horace art actuel in Sherbrooke on August 23, 2007, and also during the EXiS 2007 festival in Seoul (South Korea) on August 24-30. Furthermore, Milliseconde topographie will launch a retrospective DVD-V of their videomusic in the fall. The disc will also include a new audio project which combines ancient music instruments (barrel organ, harpsichord, dulcimer) and new technologies.

    Música Viva Festival 2007 will take place from September 11 to 23, 2007 in Lisbon (Portugal). Amongst other events, the daily “Deep Listening” will present StrinGDberg by Robert Normandeau (September 18 to 23). On the 19 the “Loudspeakers Orchestra II” will also be an occasion to listen to: A nova música do rei by António Ferreira, and Here and There, Vol d’Arondes, Un autre Printemps, Premières traces du Choucas, Moirures (Inès Wickmann, vidéeo) by Francis Dhomont who will also give a master class.

    Futura 2007, the international festival of acousmatic art, will take place from August 17 au 19, 2007 in Crest (France). This festival’s edition build around Christian Zanési’s work will notably host, Amongst many composers, Mathew Adkins, Patrick Ascione, Darren Copeland, Denis Dufour, Chantal Dumas, Bernard Parmegiani, Laurie Radford, Pete Stollery, Benjamin Thigpen, and Annette Vande Gorne.

    On June 29, 2007 Bernard Fort will present his Messe pour le mois d’octobre at the Chapelle de l’Oratoire in Caluire (France). This 5-movement work explores different acoustic spaces — might they be in stereo, multitracks or panoramic — recorded outside or inside, partially or totally reconstituted. The work also explores the multiple uses of voice, and sound symbolism.
