Paul Dolden will be in performance for an evening of structured improvisation with James Newhouse on Sunday April 6, 2008 at La Sala Rossa, Montréal. Who Can Play the Fastest? will also feature Sylvain Houle (saxophone) performing Paul Dolden’s work Revenge of the Repressed. Resonance #2.

The Seventeenth Annual Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival will take place from April 10-12, 2008. Hans Tutschku will present Das Bleierne Klavier during the Concert VI on April 11; Adrian Moore will present 3 Pieces: Horn, and Pete Stollery, Still Voices during the Concert VIII on April 12 (Adrian Moore & Robert Dow, curators). Many other composers will be there.

Martin Tétreault will take part in the Digifest 2008: Water’s Edge — Catastrophe Trauma Possibility on March 30, 2008 at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. He will present Audio-O-Catastrophes I & II — Audio Autopsy Inside the Secret Activities of the Turntable, a performance accompanying a montage of large-framed projections realized by Ingo Gunther, Melissa Shiff, Cathy Gordon, Henk Hofstra and others.

Along with artist Alexis Bellavance, Nicolas Bernier will be performing on March 14, 2008 at The Factory Media Art Centre in Hamilton (Ontario) as part of the *audio | actes* tour, a project by Perte de Signal.

Pierre Alexandre Tremblay will be in Montréal, performing and releasing a CD and a DVD-Video. Indeed, Ars circa musicæ will release their first album in a gig at Casa del Popolo on March 26, 2008, and also perform a double-bill with [iks] at Maison de la Culture Notre-Dame-de-Grâce on April 4. [iks] will use this gig to release their 7th recording Le cauchemar de l’horloger (DVD-Video), recorded live last April. But the highlight of this stay is the concert taking place on April 5, joining musicians from 3 countries: the London-based Outhouse, the Paris-based le bruit du [sign] and the Montréal-based [iks].

The Belgian organization Musiques & Recherches was invited to present a series of concerts in Lisbon (Portugal): “Avril au Portugal.” Three acousmatic concerts will be presented with works by Bernier, Dhomont, Drese, Harrison, and Parmegiani. The April 5 concert will be focused on Annette Vande Gorne’s works.
