  • January 20 – February 18, 2009: Bernier, Poulin-Denis on Stage, Disc

    Nicolas Bernier and Jacques Poulin-Denis has composed the music for two theatre productions: Le Complexe de Thénardier (directed by Denis Marleau) presented at the Espace Go in Montréal from January 20 to February 14, 2009 and La chambre blanche (a choreography by Ginette Laurin) presented at Place des Arts in Montréal on February 12 - 18. Both productions are back from triumphal tours in Europe. The adaptation of the music for La chambre blanche will be released on disc, Sur fond blanc, on February 12, available on electrocd.com.

    January 28 – February 13, 2009: Films from Ina on musique concrète at the Cinémathèque québécoise

    The series of archive films ”Rendez-vous Ina / Cinémathèque: musique contemporaine” with documentaries and short films on composers of musique concrète and electroacoustics will take place on January 28 to February 13, 2009 at the Cinémathèque québécoise in Montréal. On the first day, at 6pm, a roundtable discussion will bring together Évelyne Gayou from the Ina-GRM, Robert Normandeau, Alain Thibault, and Walter Boudreau.

    Radio listeners of the BBC Radio 3 (UK) have had the opportunity to listen to Mathew Adkins’s [60]Project on December 27, 2008 during a programme called Hear and Now which was highlighting the main features of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (HCMF). Radio Grenouille, a radio station in Marseille (France) had also presented Adkins’s work during the programme Génération Bip Hop on January 4, 2009.
