    Vancouver is celebrating Barry Truax’s work with two solo concerts on November 14, 2010 — premiering Fire Spirits — presented by Simon Fraser University and the School for the Contemporary Arts at The Fei & Milton Wong Theatre, and on November 19 — premiering excerpts from Enigma, The Life and Death of Alan Turing — presented by Vancouver New Music at the Scotiabank Dance Centre.

    Anadliad by Robert Normandeau, commissioned Bangor University, will premiere on November 4, 2010 a a concert presented by Electroacoustic Wales in Bangor (Wales, UK). Two days later, Like Radio, commissioned by Sound and Music, will premiere during the Cut & Splice Festival at Wilton’s Music Hall in London (England, UK). Also on that programme are Radio Music by John Cage, and Kurzwellen by Karlheinz Stockhausen.

    States of Play is a weekend of immersion in sound organized by BEAST on October 15 to 17, 2010 at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Centre (Birmingham, UK).
