The empreintes DIGITALes label is again invited to participate in the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards events. The 6th edition will take place on April 2 - 3, 2010 at Palais Brongniart (Bourse subway station) in Paris (France). Come and visit us starting at 2 pm at Stand #36! Admission to the Market is free. Jean-François Denis and Christian Zanési will be part of a round table discussion on Pierre Schaeffer’s heritage on April 2; the next day at 6 pm Mathew Adkins will spatialize his Symbiont on the acousmonium.

Lately, we have noticed that some of you — our visitors and customers — experienced problems when going through the 2nd step of checkout. Thanks to your input we are working on getting this issue fixed (a JavaScript challenge).

No Type’s disc Les arbres by Nicolas Bernier was awarded the Opus prize of the “Disc of the Year — Musique actuelle, Electroacoustics” at the 13th Opus Prizes gala on January 31, 2010 in Montréal. Also of interest: Chorals ornés for organ and tape by Yves Daoust — and performed by Régis Rousseau — was awarded the Opus prize “Premiere of the Year.”

Throughout 2010 empreintes DIGITALes is celebrating its 20 years of disc production. Several concert organizations from here and abroad are celebrating our label by presenting concerts with works from our collection.
