At the initiative of composer Stephan Dunkelman, 4 acousmatic composers amongst the most important of the genre — François Bayle, Francis Dhomont, Beatriz Ferreyra, and Bernard Parmegiani — pay homage to the work of Annette Vande Gorne on May 9, 2011 at a concert in Flagey in Brussels (Belgium). They will each diffuse a work by Vande Gorne and premiere a new work of their own. On the same programme are more premieres by Jonty Harrison, Ingrid Drese, Raúl Minsburg, and Elsa Justel.

Francis Dhomont is one of the guests of honnor at the 2011 RIME in Monaco. He will give a conference and present Phonurgie, and Premières traces du Choucas in concerts May 5 and 6, 2011. On May 9 he will be joined by 3 other pioneers of acousmatics — François Bayle, Beatriz Ferreyra, and Bernard Parmegiani — for a tribute acousmatic concert to Annette Vande Gorne’s work in Brussels (Belgium).

On March 30, 2011 the 5th and last concert of the Électro-chocs series presented by Conservatoire de musique de Montréal is a carte blanche to Stéphane Roy who will premiere Train d’enfer.

GMVL will devote a whole day to the work of Marcelle Deschênes on March 31, 2011. A morning concert of works by some of Marcelle Deschênes’s ex-students — Alain Thibault, Louis Dufort, Robert Normandeau, Roxanne Turcotte… — followed by a master class in the afternoon and a solo concert in the evening. All of these events take place at Théâtre de la Villa Gillet in Lyon (France).

Napalm Jazz (as a duet: Érick d’Orion, Philémon) will be on tour from March 30 to April 8, 2011 in France, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, and Türkiye.

Marcelle Deschênes starts a 3-week tour in Europe with a solo concert presented by Les Acousmonautes at Cité de la musique in Marseille (France) on March 14, 2011. She will then take part in Ars Musica’s Night of Electronic Music in Brussels (Belgium) on March 23. While in residency at GMVL in Lyon (France) from March 24 to April 4 she will perform a solo acousmatic concert presented by Motus at Les Voûtes in Paris (France) on March 29 and a third solo concert preceded by a concert of works by her ex-students both presented by GMVL at Villa Gillet in Lyon in March 31.
