    Starting August 29, 2025, the United States of America government will levy a 35% customs duty (according to Executive Order 14324) on the value of some imported goods: the items you place in your shopping cart (such as vinyls). This 35% customs duty may be added to the total value of the goods of your order and paid directly to the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) through the intermediary chosen by Canada Post. We are monitoring the situation closely and we will adjust the shop’s behaviour accordingly.

    Digital products are not subject to this customs duty.

    June 14, 2024: Hildegard Westerkamp Now Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa

    On June 14, 2024, the degree of Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa, was conferred on Hildegard Westerkamp from Simon Fraser University (SFU) in British Columbia (Canada).

    Hildegard Westerkamp’s compositions have been performed and broadcast in many parts of the world. The majority of her compositional output deals with aspects of the acoustic environment: with urban, rural or wilderness soundscapes, with the voices of children, men and women, with noise or silence, music and media sounds, or with the sounds of different cultures, and so on.”
