Gilles Gobeil will participate at the next_generation 3.0 festival which will be held from June 10 — 14, 2009 at ZKM in Karlsruhe (Germany). This festival presents works of more than 20 studios of electroacoustic music situated mainly in Germany. Gobeil, who is in a 2-month residency at ZKM, will represent the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal by presenting a concert on June 14 at the ZKM_Kubus. On the programme: his work Les lointains noirs et rouges as well as works by ex-students of the Conservatoire Pierre-Marc Beaudoin, Jean-François Blouin and Olivier Girouard.

On the programme of the concert featuring six woman musicians on June 7, 2009 at 9 pm at L’envers in Montréal are the duets Magali Babin — Joane Hétu, Anne-F — Hélène Prévost, and solo performances by Myléna Bergeron, and Pascale Trudel.

The series Je me souviens (2), tribute to Québec electronic music pionneers will present a concert dedicated to alcides lanza with, amongst others, Novi_sad, Pierre Tanguay and Érick d’Orion on June 10, 2009 at La Sala Rossa (Montréal).

Milliseconde topographie’s videomusic Treelogy will be presented at the Cinémathèque québécoise in Montréal on June 11, 2009 as part of the «Paysages mouvants 3» event presented by Espace vidéographe. On June 25, Treelogy will be presented at the Loating World Animation Festival in Portland, Oregon (USA). On June 12 the duet will present Le microsillon des vagues at L’Écho d’un fleuve, an event taking place in the Centre-Sud district in Montréal.

Arturo Parra and Catherine Ego celebrates 15 years of their theatre for the ears duet Paroles égales on May 30, 2009. For this occasion, they will premiered Parra’s work Novecento, guitariste, based on Novecento: pianiste text by Alessandro Baricco, at Volver Café culturel in Montréal.

The Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre (BEAST) will present a series of 5 concerts on Travels in Time and Space on May 29 — 31, 2009 at CBSO Centre in Birmingham (England, UK). On May 30, Andrew Lewis will give a solo concert during which he will present his works Danses acousmatiques, Benllech Shells (available on Miroirs obscurs) and Ascent. Another concert the same evening will present Jonty Harrison’s work Phantom Power and Hans Tutschku’s Zwei Räume.
