BEAST present the six-concert series Pioneers of Sound on January 31 - February 2, 2014 at the CBSO Centre in Birmingham (England, UK). The February 1 concerts are dedicated to the music of François Bayle and Francis Dhomont, to be presented by the composers.

CIRMMT is presenting two events with composer Denis Smalley: a lecture on Spatiality in acousmatic music in the afternoon of January 23, 2014 followed by a concert in the evening in the Multi-Media Room of McGill University in Montréal.

The next San Francisco Tape Music Festival will be held on January 3-5, 2014 at the Z Below in San Francisco (USA). Three days of classics, early sound pioneers’ works and premieres. Amongst the 26 works are those by Hans Tutschku, Maggi Payne, Denis Smalley, Peter Batchelor, Thom Blum, Matt Ingalls, François Bayle, Jonty Harrison, Hildegard Westerkamp, Elainie Lillios, Stijn Govaere, and Elsa Justel.

The work Mâts by Elsa Justel is on the programme of the Vertical: Musiques / images concert produced by Grame on December 12, 2013 at the Musée des moulages in Lyon (France). Also on the programme are works by Renouard Larivière, Chion, Bayle, De Mey, Bouvier / Obadia, and De Mey / Kovač.

David Berezan will present two of his works during the Música Viva 2013 festival at the concert Entre o acústico e o electrónico on Decembr 12, 2013 at the São Luiz Teatro Municipal in Lisbon (Portugal).

To celebrate 35 years of career, Åke Parmerud is presenting the event Dreaming in Darkness bringing together music, lighting and projection — with guest artists — on December 14, 2013 at Atalante in Gothenburg (Sweden).
