New works by each of the University of Sheffield Music Department’s three staff composers — Amongst them Adrian Moore — together with music by Roger Smalley and Jim Ledger of the University of Western Australia (Perth) will travel in UK and Australia. In this concert, Adrian Moore’s three new electroacoustic works 3 Pieces: Horn, 3 Pieces: Piano, and 3 Pieces: Violin, which focuses around the instrumental timbres of a horn trio, will be performed. Previously presented on March 20 and 21 at the Universities of Sheffield and Surrey, the concert is to be repeated at the University of Bristol on March 23, 2007 with accompanying composition workshops.

In April 9 and 22, the Sheffield composers will then be visiting the University of Western Australia for a short residency, during which they will perform the same programme and take part in a series of workshops and seminars.

Stephan Dunkelman and Annette Vande Gorne will respectively present their works When I Was Wood and Lamento (a movement of Yawar Fiesta) on March 23, 2007 in Brussels as part of the next Électro-Belge concert. Just before, Annette Vande Gorne will take part in the Siberfest 2007 (International Festival of Electronic, Computer Music and Digital Art) in Sibiu (Romania) on March 21 and 22. Following a residency at the Technische Universität (TU) in Berlin (Germany) from March 11 to 21, 2007 where he is finishing a new composition, Christian Calon will premiere the third region of Atlas (Est) as part of the 5th International Linux Audio Conference (LAC2007) on March 22 — 25, 2007 in Berlin. For this occasion, the multitrack work has been produced for a spatialisation on very wide WFS (Wave Field Synthesis) surround system on 840 tracks and about 3,000 loudspeakers. Furthermore, Nord (the first region of Atlas) by the same composer and Rituale by Hans Tutschku will be presented in concert respectively on March 23 and March 24, again as part of the concerts organized by Tesla and the Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst (DAAD) for LAC2007.

Christian Calon, Robert Normandeau and Pete Stollery will take part in the Invisible Art event presented on March 2 to 4, 2007 by the Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre (BEAST). The works Les corps éblouis, Puzzle, and scènes, rendez-vous will be presented.

Natasha Barrett will present her sound installation Rain Forest during the Spor Festival on May 10 to 13, 2007 in Århus (Denmark). As for the musical piece Capture éphémère by Bernard Parmegiani, it will be presented in a version performed by The Ghettoblaster Ensemble.

Theresa Transistor, Christian Bouchard, Yves Daoust, Louis Dufort, Martin Leclerc, Milliseconde topographie, Éric Rocheleau, and Espaces sonores illimités (ESI) (with 6 improvisers et 1 light designer) will successively seduce the public during the opening night show Spatio lumino. This event is part of the Montréal/Nouvelles musiques festival and will take place on Saturday February 24, 2007 at the Société des arts technologiques, in Montréal.
