Périphériques will present the premiere of Érick d’Orion’s latest sound creation, Koursk Assault. The event will be held on March 30, 2006 at the Cooke-Sasseville workshop in Québec City.

The 15th Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival (FEMF) will be held from April 6 to 8, 2006 at the Black Box Theater of the University of Florida in Gainesville (USA). John Chowning is composer-in-residence and works by Jonty Harrison, Adrian Moore, Elainie Lillios, David Berezan, Andrew Lewis, and others will be presented during the concert “Electroacoustic Music from the University of Birmingham” (UK).

The Ensemble für Intuitive Musik Weimar will be live at the Diapason Gallery in New York City (USA) on March 17, 2006. The ensemble will perform works by Karlheinz Stockhausen and Hans Tutschku.

Normandeau will present conferences at Birmingham University on March 15, at Manchester University on March 22, and at Huddersfield University on March 23. Part of the GEMdays concert series, Robert Normandeau will give a concert at Huddersfield University on March 23, 2006, featuring his works Rumeurs (Place de Ransbeck), Palimpseste, Chorus, and StrinGDberg.

Also featured during GEMdays: a concert of audiovisual works by Mathew Adkins, Marcelle Deschênes + Alain Pelletier, and Milliseconde topographie (Nicolas Bernier + Delphine Measroch) on March 25 as well as concerts by Jean Piché on March 27 and Pierre Alexandre Tremblay on March 28, 2006.

Musiques & Recherches will held an “electro-Belgian” concert, a portrait of electroacoustic music in Belgium, on March 24, 2006 at the Petit Théâtre Mercelis in Brussels (Belgium). Featuring, amongst others, works by Ingrid Drese, Annette Vande Gorne and Elizabeth Anderson.

French composer Jean-Claude Éloy will visit Montréal (first time since 19727) to give two concerts at the Planetarium on Wednesday March 29 and Thursday March 30, 2006. On the programme: two exceptional works from the ’70s — Shânti and Gaku-no-Michi — in one exceptional venue — the Planetarium — in exceptional listening conditions!
