“During our nearly thirty-year friendship Lars-Gunnar and I have encouraged each other (when there was no other person to do so), lived with each other’s families, worked in each other’s studios, taught at each other’s institutions and shared each and every work we have composed. Lars-Gunnar is considered the “dean” of Swedish composers of electroacoustic music. He has been the head of Fylkingen, the director of Elektronmusikstudio Stockholm (EMS), a teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music, on the jury in Bourges and Linz numerous times, recipient of the Magistere in Bourges and a member of the Royal Academy of Music in Sweden. His musical conceptions are unique and deeply captivating. He has also had a career as a visual artist and poet.”
