By recording artists in the process of creation — the simple, ritual, common gestures — I become aware of the ways of life to create a work: the sculptor reaching for her clay and settling it on her potter’s wheel, the sound artist reaching for her soldering iron to create an amplifier and a dancer practicing in the silence of her craft. Following this, I recreate these places, the work of places, in a defined space. I hope to render, to reveal matter in it’s most essential movements.
