Aftertouch creates a dynamic loop connecting flute and audio processing. The performer engages the audio with initial sonic input which passes through various gates and filters. These respond to different intensities of amplitude, pitch, articulation, and sonic density. The player thus creates and sustains the “dynamic loop” by simultaneously provoking and responding to the audio content. There is no score. The music is the result of the performer’s engagement with the audio setup, and visa versa.
