Un cercle hors de l’arbre [A Circle Outside the Tree] was realized in September-October 2014 at Studio PANaroma de Música Eletroacústica da Unesp (São Paulo, Brazil) and finalized in 2015 at the composer’s studio. Thanks to the Canada Council for the Arts (CCA) for its support. Un cercle hors de l’arbre was awarded the 2nd prize ex æquo at the 8th Destellos Electroacoustic Composition Competition (Mar del Plata, Argentina, 2015), the 1st prize ex æquo (senior category — over 50 years old) at the 12th Biennial Acousmatic Composition Competition Métamorphoses (Brussels, Belgium, 2022), and the 1st prize — Electroacoustic Music at the 14th Concorso Internazionale di Composizione Città di Udine (Italy, 2023).
