Passer à travers différentes phases et états, et puis aller au-delà, sublimer.
Franchir les limites imposées par la convenance.
Du terrestre à l’éthéré, du matérialisme à la spiritualité, de la personnalité à l’âme.
Se défaire des armures et se libérer légères vers le haut pour danser avec le tout.
En fin la dipartita (la mort) ce n’est qu’une catharsis en vue d’une renaissance.

A collection of found sound objects originally explored in a hands-on creative workshop exploring sound, object and mark making. The recorded found sound objects from this workshop were repurposed for this 8-channel composition.

Abstracted Objects was realized in 2019 at the Electroacoustic Music Studios of the University of Birmingham (England, UK) and premiered on May 3, 2019 during the BEAST FEaST festival in Birmingham. Thanks to The Barber Institute of Fine Arts in Birmingham for the opportunity to run several workshops with the Barber Collective. Abstracted Objects was awarded the Special Mention (Student Category) in the 11th Biennial Acousmatic Composition Competition Métamorphoses (Belgium, 2020).
