First solo full-length album from Montréal-based composer Nicolas Bernier (Milliseconde topographie), Les arbres is a collaboration work with visual artist Urban9 who designed images inspired by the music.

On Thursday May 8, 2008 at 7 pm, Louis Dufort will launch his second disc (this one as a 5.1 Surround DVD-Audio) to be released on empreintes DIGITALes: Matériaux composés . The launch will take place at the Café de l’Usine C in Montréal as part of the Elektra festival. The composer will present exerpts and comment them. Frans de Waard of Vital wrote about this release: “[The sounds] all make perfect sense, a fine, balanced audio picture. Sounds do not bounce up and down, back and forth, stumbling and tumbling, but are placed with great care in the right spot.”
