Yesterday at the 2nd Klang competition (Montpellier, France, 2015) Lightvessels by David Berezan was awarded the 1st prize and Hydatos by João Pedro Oliveira was awarded the 2nd prize.

The Foundation Destellos announced today the results of the 6th edition of its electroacoustic composition competition: the first prize was awarded to Daniel Judkovski for his work El exilio infinito. Three ex æquo second prizes have been awarded to works by Jonty Harrison, John Nichols III, and Sophie Delafontaine. The first prize of the mixed music category was awarded to Timothy Roy for his work Wunderkind; the second prizes was awarded to João Pedro Oliveira for his work Vox sum vitæ.

Ai-maako, the 11th Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica de Chile, will take place on October 14 - 22, 2011 in Santiago and Valdivia (Chile). Works by Francis Dhomont, Federico Schumacher Ratti, Gilles Gobeil, João Pedro Oliveira, Martin Bédard and several others are featured during this 2-city festival.

The acousmatic and multimedia festival Sonoimágenes will take place on September 2 - 4, 2009 at Lanús’ National University, near Buenos Aires (Argentina). On September 3, Elsa Justel will present her works Débris, Bastet, as well as the videomusic Moure el món. On September 4, Åke Parmerud will present La vie mécanique, Bows, Arcs and The Arrow of Time, and Crystal Counterpoint.
