On October 20, 2009 at the Teatro Libre de Bogotá (Colombia) Arturo Parra will present the concert premiere of his piece for guitar and tape Miguel. The work evokes the spanish civil war, the Franco dictatorship, and more precisely the great spanish poet Miguel Hernández, partisan of the Front républicain, who died in Franco’s jails in 1942. The work was awarded the first prize at the Concurso Nacional de Composición Musical Ciudad de Bogotá in 2008.

The Acousmonautes will present a special concert at Marseille Médiathèque, France, on Octobre 15, 2009 to celebrate 61 years of musique concrète. On the programme, works by Pierre Schaeffer, Francis Dhomont, Jacques Diennet, Fabrice Martin, Christophe Modica, Lucie Prod’homme, Marc Spiga…

David Berezan’s work Badlands will be presented during the Channel Noise: Electronic Music concert on October 1, 2009 at Georgia Southern University, in Statesboro (USA).

Robert Normandeau will be in Lisbon (Portugal) to participate to the Música Viva 2009 Festival. He will premiere his new work Jeu de langues during a concert on the theme of eroticism (for 18-year old and older!) on September 19, 2009 at the Eduardo Prado Coelho.

The World New Music Days organized by the ISCM will take place on Septembre 24 - October 4, 2009 in Visby, Växjö, and Göteborg (Sweden). Amongst the works on the programmes: Rituals by Åke Parmerud on September 28; Champs de fouilles (Excavations) by Martin Bédard and Sub Terra by Natasha Barrett on September 29; and finally Vol de rêve (first movement of Trois songes) by Gilles Gobeil on October 1.

Inés Wickmann and Francis Dhomont are guest artists of the L’opus à l’oreille festival, that takes place from September 25 to October 21, 2009 at Fondation Vasarely in Aix-en-Provence (France). During the festival, they will premiere 3 videomusics: Urbs, Terres et ciels, and Kronos. On October 10, Dhomont will give a conference. On the same evening, Dhomont’s work Corps et âme will be presented in a concert. Also on the programme of the festival: videomusics by Inés Wickmann (video), Ingrid Drese (music), and Beatriz Ferreyra (music).
