You are invited at Casa del Popolo (Montréal) Saturday March 8, 2003 for an aural event of epic proportions: the head on meeting of parasites (the duet of turntablist Martin Tétreault and samplist Diane Labrosse) and morceaux_de_machines (Érick Dorion and A_dontigny, computers) in a sonic clash of beautiful patterns, uncompromising noise, surprising acousmatic movements and — yes! — even beats, scratches and pop samples! Although they have worked together before, it is the first time the four of them actually play as a quartet. Érick Dorion and Martin Tétreault are currently collaborating together on a forthcoming album, Diane Labrosse and A_dontigny will release theirs on No Type in april 2003, Télépathie, recorded live last year.

Don’t miss the excellent frenchman Philippe Cam, who appears on the German label Traum. Also, hear the first live set from Montréaler Jean-Sébastien Roux also know as tlon, recently signed on the Oral label. Moreover, two well known djs joins them: P(r)axil, master of ceremony and Oral’s guru as well as Akufen, the sound slicer and his sharp turntables. They will be live on February 21, 2003 at O Patro Vys (Montréal)

Exhibit, album launch and concert for the unrepentant Squint Fucker Press label. Cal Crawford will present his latest opus “sitting on theories on the frontier of extension” and Jonathan Parent will present his first CD, “Littérature,” Thursday February 20, 2003 at Casa del Popolo (Montréal). Moreover, Christof Migone, Alexandre St-Onge and Martin Tétreault will exhibit works from the serie “cover without a record.”
