La Voix du Lézard is getting ready to hold the Rencontres électroacoustiques à Chartres (France) on April 24-26 and May 9-11, 2008: exhibitions, workshops, lectures, projections, and concerts are scheduled with artists such as Kasper Toeplitz, eRikm, Chris Clark, David Shea, Christophe Gaurier…

Bernard Fort will give a 3-day workshop at GMVL in Lyon (France), April 4 - 6, 2008. Le paysage sonore naturaliste is an initiation of recording techniques on ground and of composing sound landscapes.

Robert Normandeau has composed the music for the play Blasté by Sarah Kane, directed by Brigitte Haentjens, and starring Céline Bonnier, Roy Dupuis, and Paul Ahmarani. The piece is presented at Usine C in Montréal until April 5, 2008. It is the 12th collaboration between the composer and the director. In addition, we can hear excerpts of La chambre blanche by Robert Normandeau (with text by Marie Uguay) in Gus Van Sant’s latest film, Paranoid Park (now playing in Montréal).

The show Les angles morts will be presented at Les Repérages festival in Lille (France) on March 28, 2008. The choreography is by Mélanie Demers, the music and performance by Jacques Poulin-Denis. Besides, O Vertigo’s La chambre blanche (not to be mixed-up with Robert Normandeau’s work with the same title!), another choreography for which Nicolas Bernier and Jacques Poulin-Denis have composed the music, is still touring Europe until March 21, 2008.

Magali Babin will present Onion Router (audio interactive performance with projection) on March 20, 2008 as part of the Studio XX’s Salon Femmes br@nchées at Galerie B-312 in Montréal, whereas Tara Rodgers will present Butterfy Effects (multichannel sound performance).
